Letter to clients: methods of co-ownership of property

Background: Your firm is instructing Gerry Drake and Kevin Mallard who are getting married in 6 months time and are in the process of purchasing their first house together. They met you yesterday to discuss methods of co-ownership and you explained the different ways of holding property as joint tenants and tenants in common. They have not yet decided which to opt for but have asked for the different methods to be explained again for them in writing.

A fellow-trainee, Ursula, has drafted a letter which you have been asked to check before it goes off to the clients.

Read Ursula's draft letter, and then answer the questions which follow.

Once you have answered the questions, redraft the letter.
