This exercise consists of juxtaposing an immigration timeline, scientific racism, common knowledge and practices, and the article in Exercise One on INS, race, and immigration law.

Read over the timeline, Key Dates and Landmarks in United States Immigration History, and then recreate the timeline to include the information from Chapter Three on scientific racism and the practices and questions of INS officials regarding how race influenced immigration policy.
